Xun Chia

Jr. Full Stack Developer

I like to design, map and build things.

Hello There! My name is Xun and I like to design, map and build things using technology. My whole foray into where I am today started back in 2019, where I decided to try my hand (badly) at learning R in order to create Plotly graphs to track construction costs, then gave up and switched to Microsoft Power BI.

Coming from a Construction Cost Consultancy education and background, the itch remained, even as I transitioned into Commercial Coworking Real Estate (including building offices for a number of tech companies, like this one and that one). These days, my main focus towards my transition journey into tech is in learning, applying, building and most importantly, understanding.

I most enjoy the software development experience within the sweet spot where design, planning and engineering intersect - where something not only looks great, but also built well and clearly understood code and business application-wise. In my free time, I can be found following news on Location Intelligence and Machine Learning. Beyond the computer, I'm usually out running, swimming or cycling as well as as well as finding quiet nooks and cranies to catch up on my reading and writing for topics that interest me.

My resume can be viewed here.
